Jumping Mechelen: Sunday 28 December packed with World Cup Dressage and top-level Jumping
Sunday 28 December at Jumping Mechelen promises a full day of world-class sport, combining elite dressage, youth competitions and top international show jumping, culminating in a spectacular CSI5* evening class.
Morning: FEI World Cup Dressage in the spotlight
The day starts early at 08:00 with the FEI World Cup Dressage, powered by De Baian, featuring the CDI-W Grand Prix, divided into two parts:
- 08:00 – Grand Prix, part 1
- 09:20 – Grand Prix, part 2
A total prize money of €15,000 is at stake, with top international combinations competing for valuable World Cup points.
At 10:30, the audience will also enjoy the demo of the Gouden Laars finalists, a much-anticipated showcase.
Midday: CSI2* and CSI5* action
Show jumping takes centre stage at 11:30 with a CSI2* competition (Table A on time, 1.40 m, €5,000 prize money).
This is followed at 13:40 by a CSI5* Table A on time at 1.40 m, again with €5,000 in prize money.
Afternoon: Pony Trophy and future stars
From 16:00, attention turns to the younger athletes with the FEI Pony Jumping Trophy (Table A with jump-off, 1.35 m, €2,000).
At 17:45, the CSIJ-YR Grand Prix brings junior and young rider talents into the arena, competing over 1.40 m for €5,000.
Evening: the CSI5*-W main class
The highlight of the day is scheduled for 20:00, with the CSI5-W* presented by KBC Bank & Verzekering. The class will be run as a Table A with jump-off over 1.50 m, offering a total prize money of €56,800.
A competition that promises top-level sport and excitement, featuring the best international combinations. The full starting list is available here.
Representing Italy, Andrea Messersì will compete with O de Chanel and Virocondo Z, while Clara Pezzoli will be in the arena with Hadewyn van’t Ravennest and Jappeloup, each rider fielding two of their top horses.
