Jumping Verona: Niels Bruynseels wins the BMW Prize ahead of today’s FEI World Cup with 7 Italian riders qualified.

Saturday’s events in Verona came to a close with a victory by Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels on 11 year old gelding BWP Domingo, son to Thunder vd Zuthoeeve.
The pair recorded the quickest time in the BMW Prize over 1.50m beating Ukraine’s Katharina Offel with Selle Française Pin Up Ouistream (Jarnac) in second place and Britain’s Ben Maher with 11 year-old KWPN Wings Sublieme (Oklund) in third.
The rest of the top-ten was as follows:

The riders are back in action late this morning at 11.15 for the Fixdesign Prize over 1.50m. The World Cup meanwhile begins at 14.30  this afternoon with 7 Italian riders qualified for the GP. They are: Luca Maria Moneta with Neptune Brecourt, Filippo Bologni with Fixdesign Chopin, Lorenzo De Luca with Elky van het Indihof, Simone Coata with Cannavaro 17, Piergiorgio Bucci with Casallo Z, Juan Carlos Garcia with Bonzai van de Warande and Emanuele Gaudiano with Admara 2.
