Kent Farrington holds on to his lead of the Longines ranking, Maikel van der Vleuten moves forward

The indoor season will make sparks, but at the moment the overall ranking is almost unchanged from last month. Kent Farrington (USA) confirmed his first spot with 3273 points, followed again by McLain Ward (2983) and Kevin Staut (2878).
Italy’s Lorenzo De Luca also held his fourth place with 2703 points, but behind him, there are riders who are gaining ground such as Netherlands Maikel van der Vleuten.
The winner of the Longines Fei World Cup round in Verona climbed five positions, from 10th to 5th, and now threatens Azzurri’s De Luca.
Sixth place is still kept by Longines Global Champions Tour 2017 champion Harrie Smolders with 2648 points, followed by Sweden’s Peder Fredricson who moved up from 8th to 7th position (2641).
Lamaze sits in 8th position (2620), ahead of Scott Brash and Gregory Wathelet, both slipping down few places in the ranking.
Among the Azzurri, along with De Luca’s fourth place, it’s to be registered a good achievement from Alberto Zorzi, now sitting in 16th place with 2529 points. The Padova rider conceded three places in the ranking, but still remains on Ahlmann and Desusser’s heels, both 14th with 2533 points.
Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat also climbed many positions, jumping from 14th to 11th, but this month’s record in the top 50 is held by Margie Goldstein-Engle (USA), moving up 9 positions from 49th to 38th.
