Ladies out to end winless streak in Bordeaux
Riders are set to head to the Jumping Bordeaux for the latest leg of the World Cup with the ladies out to end a winless streak in the French location.
Four decades have passed without a female victory there in the World Cup and the ladies will be out to finally stop the rot when they take to the field.
In the history of the World Cup circuit, women riders have triumphed in plenty of prestigious places such as Aachen and Calgary to name a couple.
However, Bordeaux continues to remain unconquerable territory for the women. Will they finally stop the curse this time around?
Edwina Tops-Alexander who ended 2017 with a win at La Coruna and a second place finish in London will be one of those leading the way.
Keep an eye on Penelope Lèprevost too.
The home rider will be looking to take inspiration from her win in the Grand Prix Land Rover as she aims to become the first female victor in a World Cup leg in Bordeaux.
Stay tuned to see whether the French horsewoman can do it.
