Longines GCT: De Luca storms to victory

Lorenzo De Luca produced another great performance on Thursday night in Cannes at the Hespérides stadium along with Halifax va het Kluizebos as the pair raced away from the other 51 competitors thanks to a very quick time trial that finished with no penalties and a time 37.46.
There were 12 riders in the later rounds but it was De Luca who took command of the standings and the Italian national anthem was played at the end of the competition. Second place went to the 29-year-old Irish riderDarragh Kenny on the nine year old female Challan (no penalties and with a time of 38.55) and third was rider from Saudi Arabia Ramzy Al Duhami on the back of High Quality (also no penalties and with a time of 39.76).
With an error in the second run, Alberto Zorzi finished in 10th place.
