Following the pandemic and the security measures implemented worldwide to fight against the Covid-19, the Longines Global Champions Tour has announced the cancellation of its 2020 circuit. Consequently, the Paris stage is postponed to the next year.
The Longines Global Champions Tour Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, which for 7 years has brought together the best riders and horses in the world in a unique setting at the foot of the Eiffel tower in front of more than 30,000 spectators, was initially scheduled to take place from July 1 to 5. After quarantine, the teams did everything to postpone the event to the end of August. It is with great sadness that we learn of the LGCT’s decision to postpone its tour to next year.
For Virginie Coupérie-Eiffel, president and founder of Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping: “We worked wholeheartedly to organize the LGCT-LPEJ 2020 event and we all hoped to celebrate the return to life. We will come back stronger by honoring our values of Sport, Culture and Gastronomy in the heart of Paris, the French capital in 2021 ! “
The Longines Global Champions Tour – Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping will return in July 2021 to experience and share together an exceptional edition at the foot of the Eiffel tower.
