Lorenzo De Luca sets sights on World Cup
Team Italy were without one of their key members at the FEI Nations Cup in Barcelona with Azzurri star Lorenzo De Luca missing out.
The rider decided not to head to Catalonia as to allow his horses a chance to rest up after an intense but successful season.
Standout results include the second spot in the Longines Global Champions Tour and the second place in the FEI world rankings.
It could be a wise choice too as he aims to achieve his goals for the season which includes the FEI World Cup set for October 15th.
The first stop-off is Oslo, Norway followed by Helsinki, Finland before the tour heads to Verona, Italy. After the trip to Italy, riders will be on their travels to Lyon, France, Stuttgart, Germany and then Madrid and La Coruna in Spain.
Following the double Spanish stop-off, the tour heads to London, England, Mechelen, Belgium, Leipzig, Germany, Zurich, Switzerland, Bordeaux, France and Gothenburg, Sweden before the final in Paris next April.
