Men win the Battle of the Sexes at the Winter Equestrian Festival 2018

The Winter Equestrian Festival, in Wellington, has entered its second week. The seminar dedicated to young athletes, presented by professional riders, has come to a close and it is now time for some action.
The races kick off tomorrow with the second phase of the Adequan Dressage Festival CSI3* dedicated to para-dressage and offers athletes a chance to qualify for the World Equestrian Games 2018 in Tryon, North Carolina.
The most anticipated event, as usual, is the show jumping which will see the CSI2* and the and the Under-25’s events. The CSI2* GP will be held on Saturday and is worth 70,000 dollars, while the Sunday will see the first edition of the Under 25 Grand Prix presented by Hermès, the official sponsor of the USA’s show jumping team, with a grand prize of 169,000 dollars.
To end with, we’ll take a look at the winners of the main categories: British rider Emily Moffitt triumphed in the 75,000 dollars Rosenbaum GP riding Tipsy du Terral.
The most anticipated event, the Battle of the Sexes held Saturday evening, saw the men’s team claim victory under captain Charlie Jayne, with David Blake, Andrew Bourns, Jordan Coyle, Alex Granto, Willia Hickey, Darragh Kenny, Luis Larrazabal, Spencer Smith and Michael Tokaruk.
