Miami Beach Global Champions League first round won by Monaco Aces

The beaches of Miami Beach are already full of competitive tension after the first match of the Global Champions League, the LGCT team tournament, held yesterday and ended with the victory for the Guery – Epaillard pairing for the Monaco Aces team.
A victory of strategy by Monegasque team at the end of an intense encounter, with only one double net error recorded where every single point is essential to get to the Prague play off scheduled in December and every decision can be decisive.
Second place to the Scandinavian Vikings team with 4 penalties accumulated by Christian Ahlmann and Leopold van Asten followed in third place by Prague Lions with the Dutch Gerco Schroder and the under-aged rider Anna Kellnerova in the field.
Despite it being only the start of the season the pressure is already very high and it was not easy to complete both rounds without making mistakes which was highlighted by the fact that the only pair to have completed that feat was Jerome Guery with the 12-year-old stallion Garfield de Tiji des Templiers, while the fastest of the winning team was Frenchman Julien Epaillard with the stallion Safari D’Auge.
None of the first 29 riders in the field managed to complete the 13 obstacles in the 1.50m without errors in the time available, the winner in the individual standings was the Maestro Marcus Ehning (of Valkenswaard United team but in the field only on an individual basis in this match) on Cristy (Canturo).
