Michael Jung won the two star Grand Prix at The Peelbergen, in the Netherlands with his Fischersolution (by Carthino Z) in a time of 32.28 seconds. The phenomenal German all-rounder already announced a few weeks ago to be competing at five star level soon, and this weekend he won several competitions ahead of this event.Jung will actually make his show jumping team debut for Germany atop of his 9-year-old Westphalian mare next month in the Abu Dhabi Nations Cup CSIO5*.Jung is the best eventing rider of his country and switches between disciplines with ease. However, with the success in the CSI2* Grand Prix at The Peelbergen, he has definitely proven that he isn’t just an idol in the eventing sport, but also a real show jumping hero. He actually defeated the competition of big names as Sweden’s Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (sixth on 10-year Crunch 3, from Clarimo) and Netherland’s Leopold van Asten (ninth with VDL Groep Miss Untouchable from Chacco Blue).Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano (34th with Quinn van de Heffinck da For Pleasure, 8 penalties) and Martina Bernini (43rd with Corenso da Contendro, 8 penalties) also took part to the event. All results here: http://online.equipe.com/en/class_sections/279495
