A Gentle Start in El Jadida for the third leg of the Morocco Royal Tour

Morocco Royal Tour 2025 enters its final weekend indoors at the El Jadida Horse Show
El Jadida, 2 October 2025 – The final stop of the Morocco Royal Tour 2025 began yesterday in El Jadida, inside the atmospheric indoor arena of the Horse Show. Dutch course designer Louis Konickx is in charge of the tracks this week, and as tradition dictates, the opening day provided “warm-up” rounds – comparable to free practice in Formula 1. While primarily designed for horses to adapt to the new environment, these early classes also deliver their share of sporting highlights.
Local hero Youssef Salmeron struck first in the CSI1* Aïn Saïss Prize, while French rider Jérémy Le Roy confirmed his dazzling form on the Tour with his fourth victory of the season in the CSI4*-W Maison de l’Artisanat Prize.
Salmeron Strikes First in CSI1* Aïn Saïss Prize
Moroccan rider unstoppable with Quadina de Muze
The first international class of the weekend, the *Aïn Saïss Prize (CSI1 – 1.25m, Table A, Faults & Time)**, brought together 58 competitors. Konickx designed a smooth yet technical course that tested riders’ ability to adapt to the intimate El Jadida arena.
Having closed the Rabat leg with a victory and a fifth place in the Grand Prix, Youssef Salmeron carried his momentum to El Jadida. Once again riding the consistent Quadina de Muze (by Mosito van het Hellehof), the Moroccan rider delivered a flawless and lightning-fast round in 57.66 seconds. Going early in the order, his benchmark proved unbeatable: not one of the 29 other clear rounds came within even a second of his time.
The Moroccan anthem played on home soil, with Tarik Chouchi and S-Meralda Bph taking second place in 58.99s, while Rayane El Ouarzazi with Carousa 2 claimed third in 59.21s. Ahmed Eyad Bazi (Enrique HL) and Abdelmoghit Adnas (Shakaponk du Fleuve Z) rounded out the top five.

Jérémy Le Roy Extends Winning Streak
Fourth victory of the Morocco Royal Tour 2025 for the Frenchman
The spotlight then shifted to the Maison de l’Artisanat Prize (CSI4-W – 1.40m, Two-Phase Special)**, which welcomed 67 starters. This was the first opportunity for the 4-W pairs to get a feel for the El Jadida arena, and while some opted for a steady schooling round, others went flat out for victory.
Among the latter was France’s Jérémy Le Roy, who has already established himself as one of the revelations of this Morocco Royal Tour. After claiming two wins in Tétouan and another in Rabat’s CSI1* Grand Prix, he added a fourth triumph to his season tally here in El Jadida. Riding the sharp and careful Falkira de Mormoulins, Le Roy posted the fastest second-phase time of 22.98s, leaving his rivals no chance.
Poland’s Marek Lewicki with Quaid Casio came closest, finishing runner-up in 23.07s, while Italy’s speed specialist Emanuele Gaudiano took third on Chalou with 23.26s. Alix Ragot (FRA) on Gold Sky de Pegase and Dutch veteran Leon Thijssen with Chio Z completed the top five.
