Moustache is Alfie’s pride and joy

Strange but true. There is a horse called Alfie who prides himself on his moustache. Horses may not be normally known for their facial hair but Alfie, who is ten years old and lives in Gloucestershire, England, takes his upper lip growth very seriously and scampers away every time that a barber tries to cut back the growth, according to a Equestrian World source on Tiscali. His groom, Justine Greenslade, is convinced that the stallion is afraid that someone might take his beloved moustache away entirely. The experts have stated that horses with moustaches are certainly a rarity and it is not something seen very often at all but Alfie is living proof that even horses have style. Recently a photographer named Wolkenstein put on an exhibition displaying horses with unusual hair styles, created by a professional stylist. It is yet unclear whether Alfie was inspired by Wolkenstein or the other way round.
