New generation domnate Sardinian championship

The Sardinian championship was won by 18-year-old Thomas Dastara.The event which took place at Lori and was organised by the Olivastri equestrian centre with the aid of the regional Fisa so three young riders occupy the top three places.Dastara was first on Hornet’s Silber followed by Paolo Ortu on Ludovik and Andrea Guspini on Quarta Spada. Two more experienced riders the Murruzzu brothers, Antonio and Gianleonardo finished off the podium as did Alessandro Anedda and brothers Roberto and Marco Pau.Dastara who rides out of the Oristano centre made only one fault over the three rounds of the first day and then two after that on his 11-year-old Oldenburg grey.There was a big turnout for all the events and in the women’s it was Irene Obbili on Oriettaon, second Maria Francesca Salis on Belidante and third Raffaela Montis on Otero. It was an all-female podium in the juniors with first going to Febe Soffiato on Carolijn Z ahead of Francesca Tassi on Illenia and Maria Fancesca Falchi on Manolit. In the seniors Gabriella Usai on Orittu Ecamedda was first, followed by Francesca Passerini on Impetho and Enrica Satta riding Coriana Z. In the junior pony section, Gianmarco Cossu on Rainman ahead of Daniele Scanu on Miele and William Murdoccu on Isellina.The three days at “Olivastri”saw a series of trophy events, with riders arriving from all over Sardinia to represent their clubs and centres on a sand piste designed by international chef de piste Giovanni Bussu. C130 Open was won by former Sardinia champion Gianleonardo  Murruzzu, on Nababbu who was also third on Green Land Ma, between Andrea Guspini on Ocean Girl. Federica Atzeni won the C120 on Mari Ermi ahead of Marta Francesca Marcelli on Quebriac Blondel and Paolo Bussu on Miss Flower del Sole. The C115 went to Lucie Bardin on Ti Amo, followed by Laura Mombelli on Lamù and Claudia Pistidda on Onice, in the Brevetti 100 top of the pile was Enrica Satta on Quartett, then Francesca Farris on Giamaica e Alessia Carta on Suprimu. Three Ludici trophies closed out the programme at Loiri. The top 80 were Giorgia Lai, Matilda Eretta and Maurizio Tron, divided by two between 60/70, Giulia Fera and Anna Deiana, and divided by in two in the Ludico LP40 with Martina Lepori and Claudio Padre.Carlo Mulas
