Promoting a new vision of the high level of equestrian sports around the world, offering the best in world show jumping and an amazing show to the spectators, this is definitely the mission of Christophe Ameeuw and his EEM teams.
While the United States, at home this time, and Europe will obviously be present to fight a merciless battle in the Riders Masters Cup, Egypt, Japan, Israel and Brazil will make the trip to ride on the NYBC Live Nassau Coliseum arena.
On Friday, the Longines Speed Challenge, a real-world championship of indoor speed, will lead off at 8:30 pm. On the same course as in Paris and Hong Kong, will one of the riders entered in New York manage to be faster than Kevin Staut (winner in Paris in 62.29 seconds), or Bertram Allen (winner in Hong Kong in 60.47 seconds), and uncrown one of these triple winners of the event in this fourth season of the Longines Masters?
The Masters Power and the Riders Masters Cup will be the highlights of Saturday. The first, which will take place at 2:15 pm, is a real demonstration of power, as the poles can rise up to two meters. But the second will certainly be the event most awaited by the American audience, who will be keen to see their team bounce back against Europe and finally win an edition of the Riders Masters Cup!
The weekend will end with the no less eagerly awaited Longines Grand Prix. This world-class event will be endowed with $400,000. There is no doubt that Denis Lynch, winner of the Longines Grand Prix of Hong Kong (and third in Paris) will be keen to win a second victory on the circuit, which seems to suit him perfectly, with the Grand Slam indoor of Showjumping in the spotlight. However, McLain Ward, current world No. 2 and title holder of this Longines Grand Prix of New York, will certainly want to offer a double to his fans and will be the first to throw sand in the Irishman’s wheels. See you on Sunday 28 April at 3pm to see the best riders in the world compete!
While sport will play the leading role in this second edition of the Longines Masters of New York, Lifestyle and Entertainment will also have a privileged place in this extraordinary event, keeping with the tradition of this international series.
After welcoming the equine athletes for its first evening, the Longines Masters of New York will host canine athletes for the AKC Agility Cup. The best dogs in the United States will compete at NYBC Live on an agility course on April 25 at 5pm. In addition to the sport horses, who are the main stars of the weekend, Santi Serra will present the perfect harmony he has developed with his equine performers in breath-taking performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Prestige Village of the Longines Masters of New York will bring together the greatest luxury brands and equestrian equipment manufacturers. Once again, children will have their own dedicated space in this Prestige Village, where they will be able to enjoy the proximity of their idols, horses and riders, during signing sessions and unique events. Henri PFR, after his success in Paris and Hong Kong, will be present again to host the Saturday evening after-party in the heart of the Prestige Village.
