The Grand Prix of Kraków saw the victory of the representative of Poland, Wojciech Wojcianiec on Cassio Melloni.
The main contest of the Kraków Grand Prix for the award of the President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Polski, under the patronage of the President of Kraków, proved to have a very high sporting level. The course not only consisted of high obstacles and was technically challenging, but also there was a very demanding time limit.
As a result, only four pairs entered the game. Adam Grzegorzewski was the first to ride his irreplaceable Okarino, which won the hearts of the people gathered in Kraków already after the first ride. Unfortunately, the pair made two mistakes in the second run. Jarosław Skrzyczyński was very precise on Chacclana and it seemed the time he scored would allow him to win the competition included in the world ranking for the second time in a row (he won in Kraków on Friday). However, Wojciech Wojcianiec who rode a moment later, made a smoother ride up to the last obstacle and it was him who turned out to be the winner. The third place went to Michael Kolz from Germany on FST Dipylon.
“The Grand Prix arena was tough and very technical. The tight lines caused a lot of problems for the riders, but we managed to complete it without any mistakes. Four very fast horses fought against each other in the jump-off, so each of us could win. The TAURON Arena itself is beautiful. It is a great place to ride, because there is a lot of space, the infrastructure is great and I hope that it will become a venue for more competitions. Now we are off to Warsaw and the first competitions there will reveal who will fight in the Grand Prix,” said Wojciech Wojcianiec.
Jarosław Skrzyczyński became the leader of CAVALIADA Tour with a total of 64 points. The second place belongs to Krzysztof Ludwiczak, while today’s winner Wojciech Wojcianiec advanced to the third place.
There was also plenty of excitement in the contests for the youngest ones. The winners of the qualifying round of CAVALIADA Future in Kraków were Barbara Piontek on Cykor and Wiktoria Von Mauberg on Koekoekshof Mariska.
Four pairs entered the game in the Midi category. However, Wiktoria was the only one who managed to keep it clean until the end. The second place went to Marcelina Jackowiak on Coast Player Seguret, while the third place went to Antoni Śliwiński on the mare Apla.
Zofia Ćwik remains the leader in the CAVALIADA Future ranking. Marcelina Jackowiak and Antoni Śliwiński advanced to the second place.
This time Barbara Piontek on Cykor performed best in the Mini category. Here, seven pairs competed in the jump-off. Surprisingly, one drop of the leader Martyna Ufnal on Ramiro prevented her from fighting for victory. The second place went to Nell Sówka on S-Piorun and the third to Nel Skotarczak on Frankenhoeh’s Mylord.
Martyna Ufnal remains the leader of the Mini ranking. Nel Skotarczak advanced to second, followed by Nell Sówka in the third place.
Rafał Krajewski on Carmen P took a great victory in the small round contest. It was his first victory in the international show jumping competition.
Sandra Sysojeva from Lithuania won the CAVALIADA Dressage Cup on the gelding Furst. The second place was taken by Ilona Janas on the stallion Arriba Z. This way she became the leader in the Dressage Cup ranking.
The first CAVALIADA in Kraków provided the spectators with a lot of positive, sporting excitement. Besides, Polish fans can be happy with the performance of our representatives as they won 6 out of 11 competitions, two of which were included in the world ranking.
This Thursday is when the CSI3* in Warsaw begins. The competition will be the final of CAVALIADA Tour 2018/2019 and the final of the World Cup Central European LeagueCavaladia photo
