Paris Jumping Eiffel Special: icons and information on upcoming event

As we edge closer to the Paris Jumping Eiffel, we begin to look at the characteristics that make this event so special and why it is so highly anticipated by the French public. The Paris Eiffel Jumping is this year’s novelty and has been added to the Global Champions Tour (GCT) calendar. This year’s first edition promises to be spectacular and to top it off will be taking part at the foot of the most symbolic French monument, the Eiffel Tower, from which the event gets its name and celebrates its 125th anniversary of being open to the public (1889).
The Eiffel Tower is the most visited monument in the world and from the day of its opening until today 250 million people have paid a visit with the number destined to grow significantly.
SHOW JUMPING AND INTERNATIONAL ICONS
The decision by the organiser of the GCT Jan Tops to host the Paris stage of the event so close to the Eiffel Tower is a real treat for the fans and just one of the many reasons in addition to the huge prize money that makes this competition so special. 120 thousand spectators are expected to be on hand for the event in Paris. Moreover, the President of this stage Virginie Couperie – Eiffel is a direct descendant on her mother’s side of none other than Valentine Eiffel (also known as San Valentino) and her father Emeric Couperie is the founder of the Jumping Bordeaux CSI5*. She is therefore a perfect representative for this landmark event.
Gucci is another important icon that will be in Paris, the world class fashion brand which is in partnership with the GCT, not to mention some important protagonists of the equestrian world such as Edwina Tops-Alexander and above all Kevin Staut.
