Just  under a month left to wait until the Longines Masters de Paris is underway. The European pioneering stage of the intercontinental Longines Masters Paris – Hong Kong – New York series will run from 30 November to 3 December 2017 at Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte, parallel to the Paris Horse Show.
With a four-day line up bursting with intense competitive face-offs, the Longines Masters of Paris offers the chance to take in a stunning display by the world’s top riders.
First up will be the Longines Speed Challenge, created by EEM in 2010 in Paris and which many see as a World Speed Championship across three continents with an unique route in Paris, Hong-Kong and New York. This revolutionary competition requires a masterful understanding of time and the utmost precision.
In a new must-see event in the sporting lineup at the Longines Masters of Paris, the Riders Masters Cup, born of the close cooperation between EEM and the EEF (European Equestrian Federation), will take place on December 2nd, at 8.30 pm. This new team competition will put the world’s top riders from Europe and the United States against one another.
The battle has already begun on the social media , with each side proudly proclaiming their affinities, with the hashtag #RMCIBetYou. The two team leaders, Philippe Guerdat (Europe) and Robert Ridland (USA), have joined the fray as well, taking the opportunity offered by the online format to thrown down the gauntlet in a whole new way.
This 9th edition of the Longines Masters of Paris will also showcase the horses’ exceptional potency, with a new spectacular event anointed the Masters Power. Riders will have to outdo one another by taking on, each in turn, a series of six obstacles. The one who reaches the maximum height (which could exceed 2 meters) without the slightest slip-up will be crowned Master Power on December 3rd.
Last but definitely not least will be the Longines Grand Prix. A true flagship which does not need to be introduced.
Over 200 thousand visitors are expected to be in town for this event of impressive cultural breadth, combining the best in arts, performance, music and fashion.
