A Florida pharmacy has admitted that the dosage of the medication it prepared for 21 polo ponies that died earlier this week was “incorrect“.The horses, from a Venezuelan-owned team, collapsed and died at the weekend ahead of the US Open Polo Championship at Wellington in Palm Beach County. Florida agricultural officials and the sheriff’s office are investigating but the Franck’s Pharmacy revealed that they had prepared the medication on what they termed an “order from a veterinarian“.However, they maintained that they would co-operate with authorities as they continue their investigations.
