Piazza di Siena 2009: Rodrigo Pessoa wins Loro Piana

Rodrigo Pessoa on Let’s Fly took first place in the Loro Piana Grand Prix in Rome on Sunday evening.The Brazilian was two-tenths of a second faster than his nearest rival America’s Richard Spooner on Cristallo to win in a time of just under 43 seconds and at the same time pick up the €50,000 winners purse and the additional €50,000 Super Prize from SNAI for winning the competition.There was plenty to celebrate for Italy, with Juan Carlos Garcia third and Natale Chiaudani fourth to round-off a wonderful few days of showjumping in the capital.
