Piazza di Siena event to draw Italian stars

The Piazza di Siena oval will host the Lazio Cup on Sunday, November 22 for the Ontario Cup, UGS Trophy and the D’Inzeo Brothers Trophy.  The the President of the Regional FISE, Giuseppe Brunetti claimed the event would be a return to the traditions of the time when it was a national Cup for clubs, which was a regular competition at Villa Borghese.The main event at the famous arena is of course in spring but next weekend is the dream of every Italian and especially local rider to compete in.The event will have something of an “English“ feel to it, with the natural stands and a pair of typical English double-decker buses to accommodate the jury and VIP guests. The legendary “golden-riding Italian brothers, Piero and Raimondo d’Inzeo, will be present, and will personally hand over the trophy that bears their name to the winners. The gates open at 8am and the event goes on until late afternoon.
