The British federation is without a doubt one of the most active when it comes to developing their youth sector. Over the last few days the federation has formalized the list of coaches who will become a part of the Youth Coaching Programme; an initiative launched by the British Equestrian Federation in collaboration with Sport England; developed to train coaches who are specialized in working with young athletes.The coaches who will be a part of the program are:Compete: Sharon Hunt, Jonquil Hemming, Christie Wright, Tina Ure and Katie WilliamsShow Jumping: Mandy Frost, Mia Palles-Clark, Targa Hammond and Nicola McLeishDressage: Sophie Wells, Janet Horswill, Joanne Swain, Hannah Biggs and Charlie HuttonThe training program is divided into 12 sessions in which the main issues regarding sports development among youngsters will be faced: method and approach, development and support for the athlete, communication, the creation of an optimal environment for the physical and cognitive development of a young athlete.www.britishshowjumping.co.uk
