Real life rodeo

It was feared that the animal could make its way on to the state road, and thereby cause an accident, therefore a real life rodeo was held at just outside the city to try and recapture the fleeing horse the ranch.
An unusual spectacle which left police officers and civilian drivers fearing the worst, fearing that the horse could reach the Lecce-Vernole road, which was particularly busy yesterday morning especially heading towards the sea.
The emergency occurred about 11 o’clock, and it was a couple driving by that called the rescue services, to inform them of the presence of a horse who got loose in the rural area behind the Q8 gas station on the road to Merine.
The animal was a young male half-breed, who managed to escape the nearby ranch, and decided to go for a walk true the woodland in the area. When the fire brigade and law enforcement officers arrived they immediately realised they were faced with a difficult and complicated situation, in fact the horse had absolutely no intention of coming away quietly.
That is how the real life rodeo came about, the officers and agents tried everything to get close to the beats, they offered it water and food, but in the end nothing was successful, and the long the situation went on the more dangerous it became.
There was little luck with the lasso either, until an Asl vet called in the support of a horse expert, Luca Tramis, with his own horse. A female horse to be precise, and experience mare that could get the raging stallion to come close, and finally it became possible for the security officers to rope the wild male before he managed to make it onto the main road.
Once the horse was secured the police went to investigate whether the steed’s elderly owner is in any way responsible for the mishap, and whether proper procedures were undertaken. The investigation is still under way.
