The 2025 NRHA Non Pro Futurity came to a thrilling close after a week of standout performances, culminating in a record-breaking $1.1 million paid out across all Non Pro divisions. With each finals round run on a clean slate, competitors delivered some of the most electrifying rides seen in the event’s history, reaffirming the Futurity’s status as one of the premier stages in the sport of reining.

Schumacher Captures Level 4 Glory with CS Sailor Made

Gina Schumacher secured the coveted Level 4 Non Pro Futurity Championship, marking a 221 aboard CS Sailor Made (Snip O Lution x La Bigia Sailor), a homebred mare owned, bred, and nominated by XCS Ranch LLC.

Schumacher surpassed her strong preliminary score of 219 and placed inside the Top 5 with all three of her finalists, each sired by XCS Ranch stallion Snip O Lution — a testament to the program’s consistency and depth.

Shared Titles Define Levels 3–1 as Fagundes and Deary Tie at the Top

Competition in the mid and lower levels proved equally intense.
Maria Luiza Michelin Fagundes and Nyourwildestdreams (Magnum Chic Dream x Gunna Be Custom) set an early benchmark in Section 1 with a 217.5, earning a share of both the Level 3–1 Championship and the Level 3–1 Challenge Championship. The mare is owned by Jose Fernando Fagundes and was nominated by breeder Devin Warren.

Matching that score was Owen Deary aboard his homebred Smoking Bubblegun (A Vintage Smoke x Bubblegun), bred and nominated by Kimberly Tillman. In addition to sharing the Levels 3–1 and Challenge titles, Deary swept the Youthand Youth Challenge championships with a commanding ride.

Prime Time Titles Split Between Strelioff and Wilson

The Prime Time classes delivered their own share of drama, with two riders ultimately sharing top honors.

  • Matthew Wilson matched that score aboard Alpha Shineceeshine (Shine Chic Shine x Cee My Gun), a horse he owns and that was nominated by Alpha Quarter Horses LLC. Wilson also captured the Prime Time Challengetitle.

Cummins Wins Inaugural Dr. Jim Morgan Masters Championship
