Rodrigo Pessoa elected FEI Athlete Representative

26 candidates from 10 nations stood for election for the title of FEI Athlete Representative on the FEI Technical Committee for the various equestrian disciplines of Jumping, Dressage, Para-Equestrian, Eventing, Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining.
In the end though only one candidate could emerge as triumphant and this honour went to Brazilian rider and Vice President of the International Jumping Riders Club Rodrigo Pessoa.
Pessoa will now undertake this new position of authority, with the Secretary General of FEI Ingmar de Vos explaining that this position plays an important role in the growth and global development of equestrian sports.
Moreover, a letter of intent has also been signed by the International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) and the North American Riders Group which recognises the IJRC as the primary representative in international show jumping.
