
Saut Hermes 2018, third spot for Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi at Les Talents d’Hermès

Saturday started really well for Emanuele Massimiliano Bianchi at the CSI5* Saut Hermès. The Italian rider competing in the Under 25 category ended in third place atop of 14-year-old KWPN Zycalin W.
The winner of the 1.45m jump-off class was Britain’s Amy Inglis atop of BWP Every Way, followed by fellow countryman Jake Saywell with Havinia van de Roshoeve.
The other Azzurri standard-bearer, Filippo Marco Bologni, clinched the eleventh spot with 4 penalties riding Quidich de la Chavèe.

The second class of the day was the Prix GL Events, a 1.50m against the clock, heduled at lunch time. Germany’s Felix Hassmann on Holseiner Cayenne WZ came off best, ahead of second-placed home hero Patrice Delaveau on Vestale de Mazure HDC. Third was another German rider, Marcus Ehning on Calanda 42.
A good result for Itlay’s Alberto Zorzi, who ended seventh with a clear round on Viceversa de la Roque. Emanuele Gaudiano was 15th with Carlotta 232 (4 penalties) while Lorenzo De Luca was 25th on Jeunesse van’T Paradijs.

It combines in 10 teams of two the best 10 horsemen and the best 10 horsewomen of the previous categories and it takes into account the results of both rounds.
The 2018 edition saw the triumph of the team made up of Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander on Lintea Tequila and Ireland’s Bertram Allen with Christy Jnr, totalling together 4 penalties.
Second place was the French-Swedish duo Kevin Staut on Silver Deux de Virton and Malin Baryard Johnsson atop of H&M Cue Channa 42, with 5 penalties.
Behind them was an all-French couple: Margaux Bost on As de Papignies and Cedric Angot riding Selle Française Talent des Moitiers, third with a total of 12 penalties.

The winner of what was considered the top event of the day was another all-French pair: Patrice Delaveau and Le selle française Vestale de Mazure HDC (Landor S), who totalled 65 points in 43.77 seconds. Behind them, two Germans riders secured the second and third place: Felix Hassmann on Balzaci (65 points in 44.42 seconds) and Philipp Weishaupt with Belo Horizonte (65 points in 44.68).
Italy’s Alberto Zorzi did well also in this class, as he clinched the seventh spot on Viceversa de la Roque, totalling 65 points and 47 seconds. This allows him to go through to Sunday’s Grand Prix, where he will compete atop of Ego van Orti. Along with him, also Lorenzo De Luca atop of Ensor de Litrange and Emanuele Gaudiano with Caspar 232 got the qualification.
