Scott Brash dominates the CSI5* Grand Prix in Doha and seals the inaugural edition of the H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix
Doha (QAT) – 31 January 2026 – The inaugural edition of the H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix came to a close under the banner of Scott Brash, as the prestigious international series concluded at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab, the beating heart of the Doha Equestrian Tour. The British rider, partnered with Hello Jefferson, claimed victory in the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix over two rounds in Tour 4, securing his third Grand Prix win of the series and sealing an unquestioned four-week dominance.
The Grand Prix, the highlight of the final day, showcased top-level sport before the Doha crowd. Brash delivered two faultless rounds to take the win ahead of Megane Moissonnier, second with Crooner Tame, and Nadja Peter Steiner, third aboard the bay mare Mila, who capped an impeccable weekend.
“Hello Jefferson was outstanding,” said Brash. “The second round was even better than the first. I’m fortunate to have exceptional horses here and an incredible team—we’re experiencing a truly special moment.”
A final day headlined by big names
Beyond the CSI5* Grand Prix, the closing day also saw Emanuele Gaudiano triumph in the CSI3* 1.40m Faults & Time with Chabrello PS, while Harry Charles claimed the CSI5* 1.50m Two-Phase Special with Bandit.
In the CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix (jump-off), Abdullah Alsharbatly shone, further underlining the strong standard displayed by riders from the region.
Numbers worthy of a major event
Tour 4 offered over €1.2 million in prize money, bringing the series total to more than €3.3 million. Over 400 riders representing 38 nations competed at the H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix 2026, with a strong Qatari presence accounting for around 50% of participants.

Brash tops the overall standings
With 199 points, Scott Brash finished atop the CSI4*/5* overall ranking, ahead of Harry Charles and Megane Moissonnier—a result that confirms the Briton’s remarkable consistency and the exceptionally high technical level seen in Qatar.
With the successful conclusion of the H.H. The Father Amir’s Prix, the Doha Equestrian Tour now turns its attention to the next major fixture: H.H.
