
Scott Brash Soars to Victory in the Grand Prix of the City of Barcelona

British rider claims sixth 5* Grand Prix win of the 2025 season at CSIO Barcelona
Barcelona, October 3, 2025 – The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona witnessed a spectacular evening of sport as Scott Brash delivered yet another world-class performance to claim victory in the Grand Prix of the City of Barcelona, Saturday’s feature class at CSIO Barcelona 2025. Riding Hello Folie, the British star produced two impeccable clear rounds, stopping the clock at 52.12 seconds in the decisive jump-off to secure his sixth CSI5* Grand Prix victory of the 2025 season.
The European silver medallist showed his trademark balance and composure, setting the pace in the first round and then producing a brilliant, fast second round that left no room for his rivals to catch him.
Brash Untouchable as Matz and Bucci Complete the Podium
American rider Alex Matz and his talented partner Ikigay came closest, taking second place in 52.90 seconds, just 0.78 behind the British winner. Italy’s Piergiorgio Bucci, riding the expressive Kiss Me Fabulesse, once again demonstrated his consistency and form, taking third place in 53.77 seconds as the best Italian rider of the evening.

France’s Kevin Staut with Beau de Laubry Z finished fourth (54.21s), followed by Germany’s Christian Kukuk on Checker 47 in fifth (54.45s). Spain’s Alberto Márquez Galobardes, cheered loudly by the home crowd, delivered an excellent clear with Kelly, finishing sixth overall.

Strong Showing for Italy
Italy celebrated a solid collective performance, led by Piergiorgio Bucci, who confirmed his excellent form with Kiss Me Fabulesse to take third place on the podium. Fellow Italian Emanuele Camilli also impressed, qualifying for the jump-off aboard Chacareno PS. Although an early rail in the second round kept him out of the top placings, he ultimately secured 10th place, rounding off a strong evening for the Italian contingent at Barcelona.
