Second victory in a row for Katharina Offel at MET 2018

Just like last week, it was once again Katharina Offel that took the top honours in the CSI2* Grand Prix at the Spring Mediterranean Equestrian Tour III in Oliva Nova.
The German rider claimed another success but this time around it was with a different horse: Amarit d’Amour, a 9-year-old gelding (Ashby x Damiani) who is going fast under the saddle of Offel. She trained him with patience for the international stage, facing ups and downs especially at the beginning due to his young age and wild nature. Katharina has always believed in the potential of the horse and she took her time to improve the quality of her jumper, who has now proved to be competitive for the Grand Prix.
Offel stood out among 81 riders who were all up against a challenging thirteen fence track build by Gregory Bodo and finished ahead of Switzerland’s Yannick Jorand on Cipetto 2 (Contagio) and Netherland’s Stefanie van der Brink with Baronescha (Verdi x Concorde).
