Selle Française showcase top youngstock
Typically reserved for the elite six-year-old and 7-year-old eventing horses, this year the World Breeding Championships at Le Lion d’Angers saw the first edition dedicated to three year old talents.
The final stage took place today and registered the sensational win of Epsilon des Aubiers. Son of Upsilon AA and Alizèe des Aubiers SF (Corofino), he was bred and owned by Michel Bouju and presented by Aurele Jouin.
Epsilon des Aubiers SF eclipsed the field in free jumping with 17.0 points and shared the ridden-under-saddle stage with Etoile de Beliard SF (16.25 points apiece).
The best mark for type/model went to Ellio de Mara SF (16.3) while that for paces went to Ego des Cabanes SF (17.25).
Second place of the overall ranking was Emory Mail (Quercus de Maury) ridden under saddle by Nicolas Touzaint, ahead of Enpleincoeur Tardone SF (Lando x Soade Tardonne) bred by Gilbert Galliot.
