As with four-year-old horse, competitive events for five-year-olds will beging in the first half of February and will end with the Italian Championships for young horse.For national and international competitions, maximum heights for the former are 1.15-metres and for the former 1.20m.Only riders with first-grade licenses will be able to ride five-year-olds.The FISE has established a transitional rule that allows riders holding a lesser license be able to ride a five-year-old up until December 2010. They can compete in a maximum of forty events but only one category a day.
