The Longines Global Champions Tour arrives in Riesenbeck from 12 to 14 September, marking the 11th leg of the 2025 season. The iconic Riesenbeck International, home base of equestrian legend Ludger Beerbaum, is set to host a weekend of world-class sport and spectacle.

A star-studded German line-up

Home fans are in for a treat with a stellar line-up of German riders ready to shine on home soil. Among the confirmed names are Christian Ahlmann, Marcus Ehning, Katrin Eckermann, Hans-Dieter Dreher, Jana Wargers, David Will, and Philipp Weishaupt, alongside Janne Friederike Meyer Zimmermann, Jorne Sprehe, and Gerrit Nieberg. Together, they promise to deliver top-class performances in the vast grass arena of Riesenbeck.

Championship race heats up

With one of the most unpredictable LGCT seasons to date, the spotlight is on defending champion Max Kühner, currently sitting 10th in the overall standings. The absence of Gilles Thomas leaves the door open for Andreas Schou, Christian Kukuk, Maikel van der Vleuten, and Simon Delestre to climb the leaderboard, with just a handful of points separating the top contenders. Every round could prove decisive.

5* powerhouses take the stage

Global show jumping giants will also headline the action: Henrik von Eckermann, Peder Fredricson, Richard Vogel, Harrie Smolders, Gregory Wathelet, and Malin Baryard-Johnsson are all set to battle for Grand Prix glory. They’ll be joined by rising stars and seasoned talents such as Jack Whitaker, Kim Emmen, Michael Pender, Neal Fearon, Alexa Ferrer, Denis Lynch, Eduardo Menezes, Giulia Martinengo Marquet, and Fernando Martinez Sommer.

Key names and returning champions

The start list offers even more excitement, featuring the Philippaerts brothers Olivier and Nicola, last year’s LGCT Grand Prix of Riesenbeck winner Thibeau Spits, Celine Schoonbroodt de Azevedo, and Eduardo Alvarez Aznar. A line-up brimming with champions makes this stop a true turning point of the season.

A unique stage for the sport

Riesenbeck International is considered one of Europe’s most picturesque equestrian venues, boasting world-class facilities and a spectacular grass arena. Here, with the roar of the crowd and the thrill of top-level sport, the 2025 LGCT story will take another dramatic turn.

From 12 to 14 September, all eyes will be on Riesenbeck: the Longines Global Champions Tour promises thrilling competition, unforgettable emotions, and the unmatched beauty of show jumping at its finest.
