Solid Gold Z shines for Sires Masters
The Belgian Zangersheide studbook has returned Bordeaux with the crowning of its jewel Solid Gold Z, ridden by Christian Ahlmann. The seven-year-old stallion was awarded the best stallion during the French kermes Young Sires Masters.
Solid Gold Z is a son of Stakkato Gold and already at the age of 4 he was a superstar among the young stallions: awarded the best Oldenburg stallion of his generation he attracted the attention of many talent scouts including those at Zangersheide .
The Belgian studbook did not miss out on the opportunity to acquire the young stallion, auctioned immediately after the result of its Oldenburg performance and immediately entered it in its catalog of young stallions as one to look out for.
Second place in Bordeaux went to another product from Belgium, but this time from the SBS studbook: the 8 years old Excalibur de la Tour Vidal, son of Ugano Sitte bred by Jean Louis Dubois (who has already produced a international star in Mylord Carthago), who in 2015 had been included in the list of breeders of national interest curated by Groupe France Elevage.
Excalibur was presented by Penelope Lèprevost, her rider from 2016 who also had successes with her predecessor Mylord Carthago, and is a jumper that stands out for its great power.
Third to home joy was Bornthis Way chapelle (Kashmir van T Schuttershof), 7 years presented by Alexis Deroubaux.
