Sunday was the last day of CHI 4Foulee 2021 at the Wola Hippodrome in Poznań. The winner of the Grand Prix was home rider Wojciech Wojcianiec.
The Grand Prix, for the trophy of the President of the City of Poznań and prizes of the patron of the event – Mr Roman Roszkiewicz, saw 48 riders representing 20 countries on the starting list. 14 of them qualified for the jump-off, and the fastest clear round belonged to the 2-time Polish National Champion – Wojciech Wojcianiec with Chintablue. History was made, because it was the first time that the trophy of the most important class at the 4-star show in Poznań went to a Polish athlete.
„I’m really happy. Chintablue likes to jump here. The rivalry was tough and the course was demanding. I went quite early in the jump-off, so I set the time a bit and others had to take some risks which sometimes resulted in mistakes. I was very lucky in the first round on the water fence, but Chintablue saved the day. Some great riders come here every year and all of them fight until the end” – said the winner.
Second place went to Austria’s Christoph Obernauer aboard 10-year-old Kleons Cocario. 2016’s Polish Champion Kamil Grzelczyk (POL) took the third with Mister Dr Heigl – a horse debuting in a class at this level.

63 horse and rider combinations competed in the Medium Round Final, counting for the Longines Rankings, for the trophy of the Marshall of Greater Poland and PERI and prizes of the patron of the event – Mr Roman Roszkiewicz. 17 of them were clear over the 145 cm course, but the fastest one of them was Belgium’s Wilm Vermeir aboard Joyride S.
Joyride is not the easiest horse, but he is unbelievably careful, so I can ride quick. Yesterday I was third, so I knew that I had to go at full speed now. There’s a very nice atmosphere here, the ground and the course designer are very good, so I like to come back” – said Vermeir.
Second place went to Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas with Sherlock, and third to Gerfried Puck from Austria with Cigol du Parsis Z.
