The highlight of the week is the Dutch Master which hosts the first leg of the 2018 Rolex Grand Slam, the s’-Hertongebosch Rolex Grand Prix.
The atmosphere in s’-Hertongebosch at its debut as first leg of the prestigious event is that of the big occasions. The world’s best riders are preparing for the final stage of this competition which earns 1 million euros to the winner.
Two of them were interviewed by the Rolex Grand Slam press officers ahead of the competition: Kevin Staut and Jeroen Dubbeldam.
The Frenchman said he was very motivated and excited, while the Dutch rider was very proud of the fantastic job by the organisers. He especially praised the improvement made this year in the show, so that you can almost ride everywhere and the set up is very chic.
The evolution of the Dutch Masters also impressed Anky van Grunsven, show president and dressage legend, who shares the thoughts of his fellow countryman Dubbeldam.
The Rolex Grand Prix has a special meaning also for Scott Brash, being the only Grand Slam winner so far in 2015.His preparation to such an event starts three months ahead of the kick off, supported by his Scottish team which also includes groom David Honnet (in the picture together with Brash).
All eyes are focused on the Rolex prize after the previous leg was won by American Kent Farrington, who is unfortunately out due to injury.
