Top four start from Italians in Verona

It could not have started any better for Italian Jumping at Verona with the four top places in the opening event. In the prestigious 1.45m, victory went to Emanuele Gaudiano with the young and promising prosmising Caesario 6, the rider from Matera but now virtually German “adoption“ ( lives and trains in Germany where he also married to a German) was the only one of 48 athletes to remain below the threshold of 50 seconds ( 49.94 ) without making mistakes. In second place was another of the Azzurri the experienced Natale Chiaudani who finished in 51.31 riding Quicka, ahead of Luca Maria Moneta ( 51.34 ) with Jesus de la Commune while in 4th place was Giovanni Consorti on Robbedoes, the clock stopped at 52.24 for him. After the top four for Italy, the Swiss Pius Schwizer was in 5th place riding Coolgirl, followed in 6th place by the transalpine Kevin Staut on Silvana HDC, Dutchman Jeroen Dubbeldam was 7th Utascha with the last year’s winner, Sergio Alvarez Moya on Carlo in eighth.
A positive start and hopefully more to come from the home riders.
