Traverse City Horse Shows to Host 2026–2027 FEI North American Youth Championships

Flintfields Horse Park Named Premier Venue for Dressage and Jumping

Lexington, KY – August 13, 2025 — Traverse City Horse Shows, in partnership with US Equestrian, has announced that Flintfields Horse Park in Williamsburg, Michigan, will serve as the host venue for the 2026 and 2027 FEI North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for dressage and jumping.
The 2026 event will take place July 28–August 2, with 2027 dates to be confirmed. NAYC remains the only FEI championship held annually in North America.

“Traverse City in the summer is an incredible place for championship sport. The mild temperatures, ample space and vibrant local community make it a prime destination,” said Matt Morrissey, Event Director of Traverse City Horse Shows.

Championship Format and Divisions

The event will feature both FEI Jumping North American Youth Championships and FEI Dressage North American Youth Championships, offering a world-class platform for young equestrian athletes.

Jumping Divisions

• Children’s Championship (ages 12–14; up to 1.25m)
• Pre-Junior Championship (ages 14–16; up to 1.30m)
• Junior Championship (ages 14–18; up to 1.40m)
• Young Rider Championship (ages 16–21; up to 1.50m)

These multi-day competitions will include both team events (by USHJA Zone) and individual competitions.

Dressage Divisions

• Children (ages 12–14)
• Juniors (ages 14–18)
• Young Riders (ages 16–21)
• U25 (ages 16–25)

U.S. dressage athletes will compete in teams based on their USDF Region.
