Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida and Karonia L Triumph in the Range Rover C. De Salamanca Grand Prix

Vejer de la Frontera, 19th October 2025 — The opening Grand Prix of the fifth Andalucía October Tour, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Andalusian Foreign Affairs, the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the Provincial Council of Cádiz, delivered world-class sport today at the Dehesa Montenmedio.

Portugal’s Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida and his talented 10-year-old mare Karonia L (Harley x G-Ramiro Z) claimed victory in the highly competitive Range Rover CdeSalamanca Grand Prix. Out of 16 combinations who made it to the jump-off, Almeida produced a flawless round in 37.13 seconds to secure the win.

Ireland took the next two podium positions, with Clem McMahon and Carneyhaugh Unison finishing second in 37.44s, and Cian O’Connor with Canbella Blue PS third in 37.61s. Spain’s Jesús Garmendia Echevarría placed fourth aboard Caramel Blue PS, while Brazil’s Pedro Veniss and Duelante 3K completed the top five.
