Valentina Truppa suffers serious injury at competition in Arezzo

Valentina Truppa suffered a serious injury at a competition in Arezzo. The Olympic dressage champion was knocked unconscious and rushed to the local emergency room in the Tuscan town. After the initial investigations Valentina was transferred to the Hospital of Santa Maria in Scotte di Siena and hospitalized in critical condition. The accident happened while the 29 year-old athlete was heading to the competition area and a surge by the horse sent her to the ground where she hit her head.
