
Vaulting, Anna Cavallaro wins the opener in Madrid

The FEI World Cup Vaulting 2017/2018 returned to the Madrid Horse Week after its debut last year to provide an incredible spectacle. Italy’s Anna Cavallaro claimed a wonderful success to show why she sits in the first position of the international ranking of this discipline. She finished on an overall score of 8.615 with 10-year-old Monaco Franze 4, confirming that together they could be formidable lunged by Nelson Vidoni. Second was the German Kristina Boe, atop of Hot Date Tek, with a final total of 8.110 points. Third was another Italian, Silvia Stopazzini, who added a total of 8.194 points in both qualifiers, riding Rosenstolz and being lunged by Laura Carnabuci. In the masculine qualifying class, Azzurri fans could celebrate the fourth spot of Francesco Bortoletto. Atop of Rosenstolz and being lunged by Laura Carnabuci, he ended on a total of 8.040 points. Therefore, Italy could not have a better a start in their FEI World Cup Vaulting 2017/2018 series at the Madrid Horse Week.
