XXV FUTURITY IRHA/NHRA Futurity Open Finalists

At Manerbio’s Palasturla arena the 25th edition of Futurity Irha, an event approved by the National Reining Horse Association, started on Saturday. An important reining event sees horses of three years old in all the Open and Non-Pro and those of four years old take part in Intemediate and Limited Open as well as Non-Pro, Limited and Intermediate Non-Pro.
With the finalists for the Non-Pro divisions already decided for both age groups, yesterday the remaining finalists emerged on the basis of their aggregate scores.With the second best score (222.5) in the second go Gennaro Lendi on My Showbix Whiz, owned by Arcese Qh Usa, managed the best aggreagte (437.5) in the Open category, one point in the second go ahead of the Neapolitan rider this time on Piccolo Spanish owned by Cecilia Frediani, while in second place on aggregate on 436 was Martin Gamper on Rooster Nic, owned by Evelyn Bagasco. Third overall on 435.5 with Lendi and Piccolo Spanish was Nicola Brunelli on Claudio Risso’s Rs Hermes Olena.Ahead in the Intermediate Open with 434 points and second best 218 in the second go was Mirko Piazzi on Glamour di Antinori, owned by Azienda Agricola Cà Antinori while the best aggregate score the Intermediate Open, 428.5, and winner of the second go, 217.5, were Hermann Verdross andTexas Checkers, owned by Elke Mueller.In the Consolation Non Pro three horse and riders made it to the final: Angelo Capitelli and Sa Rockstar, Fabio Chella on Chinicchex and Manuel Cortese on Pc Electric Spat.Today the Intermediate and Limited Non Pro (Irha/Nrha), Intermediate and Limited Open (Irha/Nrha) and Ladies (Irha). Tomorrow the Futurity final for four-year-old horses, Intermediate and Limited Non Pro, followed by the Futurity four year old Intermediate and Limited Open.
