It’s now time to look ahead to the first big show-jumping competitions of the new-year and this week HSJ would like to bring to your attention a 5 star event taking place in Basle, Switzerland.
It starts on Thursday the 8th of January and the first competition is scheduled in the morning for the Prize of Vogtli Festenhallenvermietungs over 1.20m. The trial is part of the amateur circuit.
The international 5 star trials on the other hand begin in the afternoon. The first one is the Prize of Gonnerclub Pferdesport Basel over 1.40m and is set for 13.30. This is then followed by the Prize Thermoplan AG over 1.45m at 16.30. Thursday’s events then come to a close with the Championship of the City of Basel over 1.55m and the winner will be rewarded with the famous golden drum.
Tickets for this event in Switzerland went on sale in September but for those that weren’t able to purchase a ticket we take the chance to inform you that the Longines Grand Prix will be shown live on Sunday the 11th of January at 13.55 from the Swiss broadcaster SRF Zwei.
