The start of the 2015 European Championships is just around the corner.
Tomorrow, and after the opening ceremony, Aachen will play host to the competitions for all disciplines: dressage, show-jumping, eventing, driving, vaulting and reining.
Let’s begin our focus with the first competition which starts on the 12th of August at 09.30 which will see Aachen host the dressage team event. It promises to be intense and just the day after, the first medals of the championships will be handed out after the final of the team dressage event. A reminder that the team event will also serve as a qualifier for the individual category. To continue, on the 15th of August plenty more stars will be aiming for medals as the Grand Prix Special is played out and then the following day the Grand Prix Kur.
Focusing now on show-jumping, fans will have to wait until the 19th of August for the first competitions to begin along with that of the driving discipline. The date to take down in your diaries though is the 21st of August when we find out who will be crowned European champions in the team category. The individual titles meanwhile will be handed out on the final day of the championships, the 23rd of August. The driving discipline comes to an end the day before.
Moving on, the reining discipline begins immediately with medals already on the line on the 14th of August for the team category. The individual category takes place on the 16th of August. The vaulting on the other hand starts on the 20th of August with the medals handed out on the 22nd of August (Pas de Deux and Mens) and 23rd of August (Womens and Team).
