Athina Onassis Horse Show: 2014 edition set to take place 20m from the Saint-Tropez beaches

After 7 editions in Brazil, the next Athina Onassis Horse Show will be taking place in France. The location for the event is the famous Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle, Saint-Tropez. The renowned equestrian partner Longines will be sponsoring the event.
From the 5th to the 7th of June some of the best international riders will be at the CSI5* event with just 35 of those gaining access to the GP, while 25 amateur pairs will be competing in the CSI2* event. The GP is scheduled for Saturday the 7th of June and will be a timed trial over two rounds with 1.60m obstacles. Just 12 will gain access to the final round and it can all be viewed live on Eurosport from 08.30 local time.
The entire event was organised in just 10 months which considering all the work that was involved in moving it from the other side of the world in Brazil to France is an impressive feat. There are however some advantages to organising a show in a new location as it can all be made to one’s liking. Moreover, the location is just 20m from the beach and is a protected zone where it’s forbidden to damage the surrounding environment.
It all means that we’re in for an Athina Onassis Horse Show full of emotions and excitement. The organisers are adding the final touches with a team of professionals from France, Belgium, Italy and Holland ensuring that nothing will be missing come June.
