Countdown to Rome LGCT 2015 begins
After Valkenswaard, Rome will host the next stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, the Jan Tops tournament will arrive in the Eternal City from 11 to 13 September and will take place at the Stadio dei Marmi Pietro Mennea, the picturesque setting of this first stage in the Italian history of the Longines Global Champions Tour, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.
Three intense days of competition will be provided with the Grand Prix on Saturday, September 12 that will award more precious points and the usual prize money, € 300,000.
That Roman stopover is the thirteenth stage of LGCT 2015 and will offer fans the opportunity to follow the events completely free in each of the three days of competition provided.
Confirmed are Christian Ahlmann, Ludger Beerbaum, Penelope Leprevost, Kevin Staut, Simon Delestre and Roger-Yves Bost.
And then the Dutch riders Maikel van der Vleuten and Jur Vrieling, Henrik von Eckermann, Ben Maher, Denis Lynch and the phenomenon of the moment, the Irish rider Bertram Allen.
