CSIO Youth Arezzo – San Marino: the latest results

The Arezzo Equestrian Centre seems to bring good-luck to the young Italian riders who have impressed and continued to do so at the Youth CSIO trials. Yesterday Matteo Giunti rode to victory in the CSI2* trial from 1.45m over 2 rounds on Bambino van’t Zorgvliet (Chin Chin), closely followed by the in-form Giampiero Garofalo on Cipriano. Third place meanwhile was taken by the Swiss rider Christina Liebherr on L.B. Akteur. It’s also worth mentioning the Italian rider Francesca Ciriesi with Que Sera who narrowly missed out on a podium finish in fourth place.

The main event was the CSIO Young Riders trial from 1.45m over 2 rounds which was won by the Belgian rider Vicky van de Poel on Chablie (Sire Major de laCour). Italy’s Luigi Polesello had to settle for second place on Panama Tame while Francesco Lapeyre on Figaro va Tenhaegendoorn (Oklund) came in third.

In the Juniors category on the other hand, Belgian rider Zoe Conter with Uberlina K (Lux) came in first in the 1.40m trial in 2 rounds ahead of Polish rider Monika Grundowska on Zeta. The Swiss rider Emilie Paillot on Caja completed the podium in third. The best ranked Italian rider was Giorgia Failla who came in fourth riding Bacrdi Orange de Muze. The pair obtained 4 penalties during their run.
