Daniel Deusser to miss German championship

The next national German championship will probably be held without the presence of two of its most famous performers: the defending champion Daniel Deusser and nine-time champion, his majesty Ludger Beerbaum.
From a statement by the German national team coach Otto Becker, both stars may not be present in Balve for the national championships, scheduled from 11 to 14 June, to take part in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Cannes, France.
More prize money and less effort for the horses, so probably the reigning champion Deusser has given up the chance to defend the title he won last year while Otto Becker will have to put together teams for the Furusyyia Fei Nations Cup at the CHIO in St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Rotterdam (Netherlands).
Germany has plenty of top-class horses but of course the coach needs to put everything together knowing who is available.
