Equità Lyon: the best riders in the world present at Michel Robert’s farewell

From tomorrow until the 3rd November, Equità Lyon plays host to the International Elite Circuit competition. However, it will also be the stage for Michel Robert’s official good-bye to the circuit. The Frenchman announced he will leave the top circuit earlier in the month via his website, a Equestrian World that saddened his numerous followers.Robert will continue to work with horses but will now turn his attention to passing on advice to budding riders, after a long and distinguished international career.The horses with which he has competed with in his final stages of his career are still in his team, apart from Nenuphar’Jac which has been added to lady rider Penèlope Lèprevost.The official good-bye will take place on Sunday the 3rd November at 14.30 before the start of the Longines GP.
We also remind you that the next dressage and jumping Fei World Cup finals will take place in Lyon next year, April 2014.
Swiss champion Pius Schwizer won last year the Lyon CSI5* with Verdi III, who is now in the hands of lady-rider Tiffany Foster who will also be present with Eric Lamaze (with another former Pius Schwizer horse Powerplay). This year Schwizer will introduce Toulago. The Swiss champion has great confidence in the young 8 year old performer and expects great things.
The French and home representatives include the pair Yves Bost and Castle Forbes Myrtille Palois, Patrice Delaveau with Lacrimoso 3 and Orient Express HDC, Kevin Staut with the promising Ayade de Septon and experienced Silvana HDC, Penèlope Leprèvost with Nayana, Nice Stephanie and Vagabond de la Pomme.
There will also be the Italian riders Emanuele Gaudiano (Admara 2, Cocoshynsky and Caspar 232) and Luca Moneta (Neptune Brecourt).
