Switzerland is the hero of the day after a phenomal win in the Pony Nations Cup

Busto Arsizio (VA), 18th of May 2024 – Saturday was entirely dedicated to the Pony athletes at the Etrea Sport Horses’ showground, where the Fei Nations Cup Youth is being held. 4 nations and 16 rider-horse combinations were entered to jump around the 1.30m big Nations Cup.

Finishing on a total score of 4 faults, Switzerland was the deserved winner of the competition with solid performances by team members Laura Andre riding Clementine (0/0), Victoria Bek on Bolero de Tirepeine (0/4), Elsa Krattinger with Blackjack Du Dombief (8/12) and Victoria Scherbakov on Tankardstown Dreamer (0/0).

French Chef d’Equipe Olivier Bost’s quartet had an amazing second round and finished on a total of 8 faults resulting in the team silver medals being handed over to Myla Moulin Teste riding D’Zeus des Chesnaies (4/0), Jeanne Chambon on Atila De Talforest (0/0), Lola Elgoyhen with El Angel De Florys (17/12) and to Eliza Richard on Etuncelan Du Chapelan (4/0).

Italy, captained by Chef d’Equipe Marco Bergomi, fought really hard. Frizzarin Sofia with Northern Dancer (8/4), Martina Fiamenghi riding Marcello (0/8), Andrea Cipolla on Sissi Scarlet (0/8) and Enrico Santoni aboard Blackhall Amarach (0/12) were joint leaders with the Swiss after the first round, but at the end had to settle for third place.
