The third stage of the FEI World Cup in Lyon has been won by one of the main protagonists of this CSI5* event in France. Roger-Yves Bost said farewell to his mount with whom he won the European Championship, Castle Forbes Mirtylle Palois, earlier this week but it now seems that the French rider has found another horse of great abilities: Qoud’Coeur de la Loge (Ideal de la Loge).
With the 10 year-old selle française Qoud’Coeur de la Loge, Bost scored a clear in a time of 36.82 seconds to finish ahead of Holland’s Wout-Jan van der Schans on Capetown in second and Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher on Embassy II in third.
14 pairs qualified for the final phase. Simon Delestre scored the quickest time with Qlassic Bois Margot but he collected 4 penalties which relegated him to 5th place. Gerco Schroder with Cognac Champblanc was able to combine pace and precision to take 4th place. The rest of the top-ten was as follows:
6th Lauren Hough USA Ohlala
7th Rolf-Goran Bengtsson SWE Casall Ask
8th Marie Pellegrin Etter SUI Admirable
9th Pieter Devos BEL Dream of India Greenfield
10th Dag Ove Kingsrod NOR Dimaro vd Looise Heide
