Four Azzurri to compete in Longines Global Champions Tour Finals

Emanuele Gaudiano, Piergiorgio Bucci, Alberto Zorzi and Lorenzo De Luca will be the four Italian riders taking part in the Longines Global Champions Tour 2016 finals in Qatar which start on Thursday, November 3.The prestigious state-of-the-art AL SHAQAB Equestrian Centre will host the finale and the Azzurri riders arrive with high hopes. Emanuele Gaudiano is 12th in the  LGCT rankings, Piergiorgio Bucci (23°), and both have won an event each this season: Gaudiano at Monte Carlo where Bucci, who won in Estoril, placed second.Alberto Zorzi (33°), was third in Valkenswaard and fourth in Rome while Lorenzo De Luca made his LGCT debut this season after competing the national championships.The Italian riders cannot mathematically win the Tour which will be a duel between Rolf-Goran Bengtsson and Edwina Tops Alexander but they can still play their part in maintaining the competitiveness of Italy on the world stage. www.fise.it(MC)
